Pass Plus is a training course designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry, to build upon your existing skills and knowledge.
The course will teach you how to anticipate, plan
for and deal with all kinds of hazards.Taking a PASS PLUS
course can help you to become a more confident and competent driver.
Anyone who holds a full UK licence is eligible to take part in
the scheme. You will not have to take a test at the end of the course, but you will be continually assessed.
There are six practical modules which include driving in town, driving in all weathers, driving on rural roads, driving at night, driving on dual carriageways and driving on motorways. You do not need to have learned to drive with Ambrose Driving and you will not have to take a test at the end, but you will be continually assessed. You must successfully complete all of the modules in the course and achieve or exceed a set standard.
When you have successfully completed your PASS PLUS course, you will usually qualify for a substantial discount on your motor insurance policy.
The Fife PASS PLUS Initiative may be able to solve your problems, with their funding support scheme.
